They have arrived

The LumoPro120 has reached me from Mpex and I've got a week to give it a shake down, so stay tuned for a review of what is arguably the first ever flash completely designed for the manual flasher strobist.

It will probably be described as the hottest photography book of 2009. A picture of heat on the cover and it has probably burned more than a few hands as it flies off the book shelves. It is none other than The Hot Shoe Diaries by Joe McNally. It will take me a while to read this as it is a good 300 pages of hot-off-the-press information. One of the chapters seems to even inform on making a back yard studio; great for all those like me who haven't got enough house room. Oh, hang on a minute, I haven't got a back yard, either. Damn. A quick flick through shows this as promising to be a good read, so stay tuned; not that I think my review will be worth much, the world and his dog will already have got a copy!
